Looking forward
Wed. January 14, 2015
January can be a pretty dull month and extremely difficult to control children now the bribe of telephoning Father Christmas has been used up (actually we still use it but it has less impact as next Christmas is so far away). We are keeping ourselves cheery here in West Wales by avoiding abstinence of delicious food and wine. Excercise regimes continue to be walking dogs and the two quarter mile journeys every day to school. We are also looking forward to our annual trips to Landmark Trust properties. For the Easter holidays we’ve booked Stockwell Farm a house-and-byre homestead near Presteigne, Leominster, Kington and Knighton – that lovely part of border country. For the Summer we’ve booked a week at Calverley Old Hall in Yorkshire and we are looking forward to exploring the county again. This reminds me that we are looking forward to staying, sometime in the future, in Llwyn Ceyn which the Landmark Trust are currently restoring and making an appeal for.
