Fortnum & Mason
Tue. February 18, 2014
One of my few (my husband may not use this exact word) extravagances, is the odd and rare small purchase from this wonderful store. Perhaps a box of truffles, Maron Glace, or something else to which I am partial. Fortnum and Mason is one of those places I have always loved. You can take the girl out of London etc…. Wonderful old F&M have a good website and deliver to West Wales, which is just as well, as we rarely get the chance to go to London, unless it is to deliver a piece of furniture and in which case, persuading Mr B to divert to Picaddilly is nigh on impossible. Anyway, F&M send regular newsletters and this morning’s announces a St David’s Day market from 28th Feb – 1st March. They will be stocking lots of lovely Welsh produce, which although we can find here in West Wales from our own F&M…otherwise known as Wrights Food Emporium, but who our London Welsh friends and fans of Welsh food (and who ever isn’t, really should be) might be delighted to know about. Cnwd’s Carmarthenshire smoked fish and pate’s and Welshman’s Caviar (dried laverbread) by the Pembrokeshire Beach Company are some of our particular favourites.
