Natural garden

I took these photographs a couple of weeks ago at the end of May and it is amazing to see how much bigger all of the plants are now, by mid June. This pretty white flower (I think it is sweet rocket) dominates our garden from May through to late June. It smells wonderful and I love it. My one and only Patty’s Plum poppy head is pictured above. I am hoping for a bigger plant next year. I have inherited most of the plants in the garden from the previous owner and although we have planted some box balls to give a bit of all year structure, popped in a rusty arch for my David Austin Rose ( I’ve lost the label) and one or two plants, the plants which have appeared every year, and which I have not chosen, are the ones I love best. My first summer in the garden, I had some help from a gardener who said I needed to dig up all the ferns. He was probably right, as they become huge in a few years and are prolific self seeders, but I love them and now leave in for architectural lushness from spring until late autumn.
