Worked by AnnaLewis who was eleven years old on the15th of September 1838.

The previous owner had researched the sampler and Anna Lewis with the same birth date is recorded living Trelech ar Bettws, Carmarthenshire.

“Anna, daughter of David & Esther , born 15/9/1827, baptised on 17/10/1827 at Rock dissenting chapel – Congregational Independent – at Trelech ar Bettws, Carmarthenshire.

The verse is from Ecclesiastes ch 12, verse 1.
