A wonderful English or Welsh oak court cupboard or Almoner which is beautifully carved and with a good rich colour – dated 1700.

There is a hand written label to the interior “This Almoner (date 1700) was given to Harold George Eustace Preston , by his father Rev George Preston, Rector of Great Fransham, Norfolk in the lifetime of the latter, George Preston.”

(There are many old repairs which include the feet, part of the right hand lower turning and to the drawers)
