A folk-art or pier-head painting of the ‘SS Lady Kirk of Cardiff’ which was a 2300 tone steamship that was built in Northumberland in 1904 but registered in Cardiff and probably used for shipping coal or steel from the Bute docks in Cardiff to other areas of the Britain.
It was later bought by a Finnish shipping company and renamed Wiides. It ran aground and was wrecked in 1944.
The painting is a water colour and chalk.
In lovely bright condition and in a new frame.
